The Device

Ceez Labs is developing a wearable dynamic thoracic brace — a postural support device for individuals with neuromuscular and postural conditions who need trunk stability to safely use advanced mobility equipment and participate in daily activities.

What It Does

The device uses elastic bands to provide dynamic postural support around the thoracic region. It is designed to support the trunk, reduce fatigue, and allow the user to remain upright and active without restricting natural movement. Configurable hard lean limits can be set based on individual need, giving clinicians and users control over the degree of support provided.

Dynamic Support

Elastic band system adapts to the user's movement rather than rigidly restricting it. Support follows the body.

Configurable Limits

Hard lean limits are adjustable by a clinician or the user, allowing the device to be tuned to individual functional needs and safety requirements.

Custom Fabricated

Every device is built to the individual — not off a shelf. Custom fabrication means a better fit and better outcomes for each user.

Who It's For

The device is designed for individuals whose physical conditions affect trunk stability and postural control. This includes — but is not limited to — people living with:

  • Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Other neuromuscular and postural conditions

Disability presents differently in every person. The device is designed to adapt to the individual — not the diagnosis.

Where We Are in Development

Ceez Labs has completed a functional prototype and holds a provisional patent on the core device technology. The company is currently seeking clinical partners and pursuing non-dilutive grant funding to support continued development and validation.

Regulatory Classification

The device is classified as a Class I exempt exercise device under FDA regulations. This classification does not require premarket clearance, allowing Ceez Labs to begin fabricating and delivering custom devices to patients through clinician referral today.

For Clinicians

Physical therapists and other clinicians can refer patients directly. Each device is custom-built to the individual's specifications through a clinician referral. We work with you through the process — from intake to delivery.
